PLASTGRIP® MMA
PLASTGRIP® MMA is a two-component methyl methacrylate adhesive developed for structural bonding applications. It cures at room temperature and forms a strong, durable bond suitable for load-bearing assemblies.
The thixotropic, non-sag formulation allows application on vertical surfaces and fills gaps up to 11 mm without sagging. The adhesive bonds a wide range of materials, including metals, plastics and composites, often with no to minimal surface preparation.
After curing, the adhesive provides high strength, good impact resistance and resistance to vibration. It also offers good UV and ageing resistance, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The cured material can be sanded and painted if required.
PLASTGRIP® MMA is commonly used in automotive, transport, marine, industrial manufacturing and general assembly applications where mechanical fastening or welding is not preferred.
Application
- Substrates to be bonded with PLASTGRIP® MMA are: FRP, RTM, infusion, gel coat, ABS, polycarbonate, aluminum, RVS, cold rolled steel, rock and marble.
- PLASTGRIP® MMA is used in markets such as marine, windmills, transport, infrastructure and other composite applications.
- Application possible with manual and pneumatic guns.
